When everyone expected Popeyes to keep fueling the Chicken Wars, we surprised the country by ending them with the launch of our new nuggets and a campaign we called: We Come In Piece, 8-Piece.
Inspired by John Lennon and Yoko Ono's 70's peace movement, we spread peace in everything we did, from changing our tone on social media to inviting people to "Give piece a try" throughout TV, social, print, OOH, and radio. We even bought 1 million nuggets from our ex-Chicken Wars rivals, McDonald's, Chick-Fil-A, KFC, Wendys, and Burger King, and donated them to the Second Harvest Food Bank of New Orleans.
